What to check yourself

Turn off the device immediately, don't try to turn it on and don't plug it in to charge.

Wipe it dry, remove the SIM card.

DON'T dry with a hair dryer and DON'T put it in rice — these are folk myths, they don't remove corrosion.

Bring it to a service center for board cleaning as soon as possible.
